Celeb Haircuts: How to Get it Right

When it comes to choosing a new hairstyle, many of us follow trends set by recognised celebs rather than choosing a style that really suits us!

According to Sydney-based celebrity hair stylist Alex PF Jackson, we need to understand the shape of our face and key features to find the most suitable hairstyle at the same time as keeping on-trend.

Using these three celebrities, Alex PF Jackson explains the do’s and don’ts of choosing or changing our hair styles:

Jennifer Lawrence

According to Alex, Jennifer Lawrence’s latest haircut has been her best so far. Jen has used her oval shape face to help define her features. With the layered pixie cut no longer than her ears, her fringe pushed to the side helps draw out her eyes and gives more definition to her cheekbones.
This style brings out her features much better than her old style because her long wavy hair and middle parting draws more attention to her nose and chin, taking the attention away from her eyes.

Lara Bingle

According to Alex ,if you have a square-shaped face like Lara Bingle, having long, wavy hair with full volume will suit you best. This style softens the shape of your face, making it look smaller but maintains your most prominent features, drawing more attraction to the eyes.

Dannii Minogue

When it comes to hairstyles, Alex believes Dannii Minogue has nailed her look every time she’s changed her hairstyle. By keeping a side-part with each style, Dannii has managed to pull off both long locks and “pixie-cropped” hair. Styling your hair in a side parting really draws attention to her eyes and cheek bones.
