How to Get the Perfect Blowdry

Want beautiful luscious hair? Getting a good blowdry is the key!

Hair stylist Stephanie Hobgood has worked with celebrity clients such as Bar Refaeli and now she shares with us how to get a perfect blowdry using the VS Sassoon Venezia 2400 AC Professional Dryer.

1. Shampoo and conditioner

Use a quality shampoo and conditioner and be sure to properly rinse it out. This is so important for shiny hair but often overlooked.

2. Tool up

You have to start with the right tools for a sexy blowdry so that means using a professional standard blow-dryer! You will also need good brushes and products for the achieved style.

For fine hair use volume spray and if hair is thicker, courser or slightly frizzy use a silicone product.

3. Rough dry

Get most of the moisture out by rough drying the hair.

4. Section hair

Brush the hair and divide into three sections. Start with the bottom section, at the base of the earlobes. Next, do the temples all the way around the head, then dry the rest in little sections one by one.

5. Cool air dry

Once you’ve rough dryed and sectioned your hair, turn the dryer to the cool air setting and go over the hair. This will close the cuticle and lock in the style making the hair extremely shiny.

Remember to brush your scalp! Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp so brush the scalp vigorously before bed or before a shower.
